Born and raised in Woodbridge, Ontario, Andrew Pinfold completed a bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Victoria in 2000 and he is currently completing a Master of Science degree in Medical Geography. His research involves investigating how different levels of minerals and vitamins in the blood may affect the incidence of disease.

Andrew began bicycle racing in 1992 and has since won over 40 races, including two national titles as well as numerous provincial titles. As a member of the Canadian National Cycling team since 1998, Andrew has represented Canada on numerous occasions, including the Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia, the Tour de Beauce in Quebec, the Tour de Okinawa and the Tour de Hokkaido in Japan as well as the World Cyclo-Cross Championships.

When he isn't training or racing, Andrew plays guitar, reads, and cooks dinner for his wife Keltie.
